Tara Johnson is an award-winning creative producer and visual director.
She was most recently Visuals Director at Vanity Fair where she oversaw a team of visual editors and producers and oversaw all brand photography and shoot production. Prior to joining Vanity Fair in 2018, she was Senior Producer, Photography and Visual Enterprise at TIME where she edited original photography and produced multimedia special projects such as TIME 100 and Person of the Year. She acted as coordinating producer on The Opioid Diaries, a year-long investigation by the war photographer James Nachtwey. It was the first time in the magazine's history that an entire issue was devoted to the work of a single photographer. She also acted as Senior Producer on Firsts, a collection of profiles of trailblazing women who broke glass ceilings in various endeavors which included an interactive presentation featuring 40 short documentary film profiles, 12 magazine covers and a hardcover book.
